The Democrats are the union of the Labor party, Meretz, and tens of thousands of Israelis. We are the values-based, ideological, diplomatic-security, and Zionist backbone of the democratic-liberal bloc in Israel.
We are the forefront of the fight for Israel’s character and future, under the leadership of Major General (Res.) Yair Golan, a hero of the October 7.
We will continue to fight with determination and courage for a strong, secure, and just Israel – a Jewish and democratic state, liberal and egalitarian, in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence – without fear, without bowing to the poison machine, and without compromising on our values.
Only strong Democrats in the next government will guarantee the repair, the change, and the security for Israel.
The Democrats are the chairperson, lawmakers, committee members and mostly the tens of thousands of members who have registered and who could forge its path forward and its representatives to the Knesset.

Our vision
We, the Democrats, are a stable and principled force for the liberal-democratic camp in Israel. We are the only political party that has not buckled in the face of the extreme right, that has the backbone and a compass and therefore we are those who would bring change to Israel.
We stand for security, democracy, Zionism, equality and the desire for peace and freedom. We will never capitulate or forsake our values.
Our compass leads us as it had led the pioneers who founded this country, toward initiative and creation.

Security and policy
• We will strengthen existing alliances with moderate elements in the face of the axis of evil.
• We will bringdown the rule of Hamas and ensure security for future generations
• We will institute military service for all citizens.
• .We will instigate separation from the Palestinians, maintaining security
• We will end efforts to annex areas in the West Bank
Strengthening our democracy and rehabilitating the rule of law
• We will pass the Basic Law – Legislation
• We will strengthen and protect the gatekeepers who are fighting corruption
• We will amend the Nation State Law in compliance with the Declaration of Independence
• We will strengthen local government
Education
• We will provide a national curriculum for all schools
• We will support and improve the position of teachers and educational staff
• We will increase personal safety and innovation
• We will encourage higher education and academic research for all sectors of society
Economy and social welfare
• We will reduce the cost of living
• We will improve social services.
• We will invest in innovation and infrastructure in the social periphery as an engine for economic growth
• We will expand digital technologies and a science-based government
Relations between religion and state
• Authorize local municipalities and council to decide what services to provide on the Sabbath
• We will enable civil marriage
• We will recognize Jewish conversions approved by all streams of Judaism
• We will ensure that rabbis of all Jewish streams receive equal pay and conditions
• Israeli schools will teach Jewish thought, history and culture
Environment
• We will advance environmental legislation – Basic Law: The Environment and the Climate Resilience Law
• We will encourage and incentivize a circular economy and sustainable consumption
• We will lead an accelerated transition to energy efficiency and renewable energy
• We will strengthen the independence, quality, and transparency of the planning systems
• We will Preserve and restore Israel’s nature and biodiversity
