יו"ר המפלגה יאיר גולן

“Now is the time for a backbone of steel. We must stand firm for our values as a Zionist Jewish democracy.״

Gen. (Res.) Golan did more than speak out and caution; he fought.

Since he spoke publicly while still in uniform, during Holocaust Remembrance Day 2016, warning of societal trends leading Israel toward Fascism, Golan was an outspoken voice during anti-government protests up to and including the mass demonstrations against the attempts to weaken Israel’s judiciary in 2023. On the day of the Hamas massacre, Golan headed south to save lives. His heroism on that day is well documented.

He was then elected to head the Labor Party and lead the historic union with Meretz, creating the Democrats – home of Israel’s large liberal-democratic camp.

Under Golan’s leadership, we are a growing force for change and a source of real hope. An alternative to the leadership of the country.
